Being a state employee is not as easy as others think. All state employees (whether part-time, full-time, permanent, or contractual) are eligible for the given health insurance options. There is a 60-day waiting period wherein you will wait for the health coverage to take effect. In most cases, the effective coverage date starts on the first day of any month after the 60-day waiting period.
The enrollment is held on a certain month of every calendar year. The month of enrollment depends on the implementing state government. It is advised that you always keep in touch with the concerned department of agencies for the enrollment period.
With this health insurance plan for state employees, you need not to worry about your family in case of medical emergencies. The state government always care, not only to you but also to your dependents.
